(ANCHORAGE) - On Monday, November 22, 2004 Senator Gary Wilken (R - Fairbanks) underwent surgery to replace his entire left knee at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. The surgery was successful and the Senator is expected to make a complete recovery.

Senator Wilken is currently undergoing a strict physical therapy regimen to strengthen his left knee and plans to return to Fairbanks by December 13, 2004.
