(JUNEAU) - Representative Bruce Weyhrauch (R-Juneau), sponsored legislation passed by the 23rd State Legislature and later signed into law by Governor Frank Murkowski on July 25, 2004.
This legislation, HB 25, offers a simple, yet detailed list of options for terminally ill patients to request. The list is an alternative to Alaska's current power of attorney that exists for health care services and directives for the terminally ill.
These new advanced directives for health care become law January 1st. You can find a copy of the new statutory forms here or below in the attachments section.
