(JUNEAU) - Representative Bruce Weyhrauch (R-Juneau), has recently been honored by Lincoln Southeast High School and served as Keynote Speaker for the Sheldon Jackson College Founders Day Celebration.
Lincoln Southeast High School, in Lincoln, Nebraska, named Weyhrauch a distinguished alumni. The School recognized Representative Weyhrauch's accomplishments and called him a "role model" for the students of his alma mater.
"We usually don't know who we are or where we will end up in life, but the journey to discovering these things starts in High School," said Representative Weyhrauch.
Representative Weyhrauch also served as the Keynote Speaker for Sheldon Jackson College's Founders Day earlier this month. Weyhrauch attended the College from 1974-1976.
Representative Weyhrauch said, "I am proud of the 125-year history of Sheldon Jackson College's presence in Alaska. Sheldon Jackson had a very positive effect on my life."
Representative Weyhrauch represents House District 4 in the Alaska House of Representatives.
