Coeur Alaska Inc. has invested over $150,000,000 since 1989 to develop the Kensington Gold Mine. The project will create over 300 construction jobs, and 225 long-term, year-round operations jobs with a combined annual benefits and payroll of $16,000,000.

The Kensington Gold Mine Project has received a favorable Record of Decision for the Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement from the US Forest Service. Coeur Alaska has demonstrated an exemplary environmental track record in the state, and demonstrated environmental responsibility in all of its domestic and international mining projects.

Coeur Alaska has a strong commitment to local employment and training, including Alaska, and Alaska Native hiring and purchases.

The Kensington Gold Mine Project has generated letters of support from the United Southeast Alaska Gillnetters, and the Southeast Alaska Fisherman's Alliance. The Kensington Gold Mine Project has also generated letters of support from organizations such as the Haines Chamber of Commerce, Juneau Chamber, Sealaska Incorporated, Goldbelt Incorporated, Tlingit Haida Central Council, Juneau Economic Development Council, University of Alaska Southeast, Southeast Conference and the Resource Development Council.
