(Anchorage) - The Senate Transportation Committee will meet on Monday, October 3, 2005, 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Wasilla LIO for a presentation by the Knik Arm Bridge and Toll Authority.

Sen. Charlie Huggins (R - Rural Mat-Su/Chugiak) chairs the Senate Transportation Committee.

The presentation by KABATA will focus on three main areas.

• An overview and status of the Knik Arm Project including alternatives selection and technical details.
• A presentation of the financial plans for the project development.
• An update on the scheduled project administration and delivery system outlook.

KABATA also plans to release the draft Environmental Impact Statement later this fall. Public hearings on the draft EIS will be held in Anchorage and the Mat-Su Valley.
