While it is not a surprise, the Alaska Legislature will be going into special session on Wednesday, May 10, 2006. Current plans call for the Governor to address a joint session on the morning of that day with presentations on the gasline contract to begin that afternoon.
If you are interested in keeping up with what is going on, visit the Legislature's home page at: http://www.legis.state.ak.us and click on the red "Special Session" portion. From this site, you can keep up with the presentations made to legislators as well as other information regarding this important issue.
Gavel to Gavel will be providing live television coverage of the special session presentations. The local television channel for this coverage is cable channel 43.
My Juneau office will remain open during the special session as well as my Anchorage office. Feel free to contact either office if you have a question or would like to express a concern.
Best regards,
Norman Rokeberg
State Representative
House District 27
