Sand Lake Water and Sewer Hearing
The Anchorage Water and Wastewater Utility will be holding its next meeting on Sand Lake Water and Sewer improvements on Monday, February 28, 2005, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at the Cavalry Church, 3800 West 80th Avenue, Anchorage. The purpose of the meeting is to determine to which neighborhoods to direct federal and state money, and to answer questions from residents that may wish to form and improvement district.
Internship Program - Denali Commission
The Denali Commission, in partnership with the Department of Community, Commerce and Economic Development, and the Rural Alaska Community Action Program, has up to five summer internship opportunities for undergraduate or graduate students. These are paid internships. The focus ranges from community planning to research and analysis to public health. The application deadline is Friday, March 18, 2005, and more information may be found at the Denali Commission's website at http://www.denali.gov.
