Media Advisory CSG-West to Take Action For Immediate Release: September 21, 1998 Contact: Jerry Ritter/Wendy Lindskoog/Mary Lou Cooper 343-2401 Anchorage – After three days of committee meetings, Western legislators attending the 51st annual meeting of the Council of State Governments-West will say yea or nay to several resolutions recommended by the committees. The committees covered issues ranging from trade and transportation to public lands and water, and from Y2K concerns to electric utility restructuring. The consideration of committee resolutions is the final item on the CSG-West work agenda for Tuesday morning. The meeting will close with a noon luncheon, during which attendees will hear an in-depth examination of the 1998 elections by David Moore, President of the Gallup Organization, the national polling company, and other national political experts. # # # |
