Sponsor Statement for HB 95 An Act relating to control of space in the state capitol and other buildings occupied by the legislature and its agencies; and providing for an effective date.
This bill would allow the public at some point in the future to have more space in their Capitol building. It grants the authority to the Legislative Council to dedicate all floors in the building to legislative purposes. With most committee rooms under 600 square feet and predominantly filled with paid government bureaucrats and lobbyists the public could use a little more room if the Capital remains in Juneau. # # # Attachments:
