An Act relating to inspections of certain hot water heating, hot water supply, and coil heating boilers.

House Bill 89 is legislation introduced at the request of a small business man/apartment owner in Kenai. The Department of Labor inspects boilers every two years at a cost of $70.00 per boiler. He has 5 boilers in two apartment complexes and each time he has boilers inspected it cost $350.00.

HB89 (by request) will be a cost and labor saving factor for the gentleman who asked for the legislation. The legislation would require that boilers operating between 0 to 24 pounds of pressure per square inch be inspected upon initial installation and/or major repairs.
