State of Alaska Community Programs
Several Application Deadlines are Approaching

(JUNEAU)- Senator Alan Austerman (R-Kodiak/SE Islands) is reminding constituents that several grant application deadlines are approaching.

Community Development Block Grants

Notice-of-intent-to-apply forms are due by October 11th, and the final application is due by December 6th. Contact Jill Davis at (907) 452-4468 for assistance.

Capital Matching Grant Programs

Applications are due by October 1st. Packets have already been mailed to eligible communities. Contact Cassandra Ritter at (907) 465-5647 for further details.

Mini Grants

Applications are due by October 11th. These particular grants are for projects promoting job creation and which are less than $30 thousand dollars. Contact Nelda Warkentin at (907) 269-4568 if interested and you need more info.

Rural Road Projects

Nominations should be submitted by October 15th. These nominations are being taken by the Alaska Department of Transportation for the 2004-2006 budget period. Emphasis is on "sanitation" roads. Contact Terry Richards at (907) 451-2375 for clarification and further details.
