DeArmoun Road Public Hearing Cancelled

Dear Neighbors:

The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities had planned to host a Public Hearing and Open House regarding the reconstruction of DeArmoun Road (Phase 2: E. 140th Avenue to Hillside Drive) on Wednesday, October 30th. The meeting was cancelled. I contacted Therese Stokes, the Project Manager for the Department of Transportation to find out why.

She replied, "the design is not yet developed to a point where we can provide enough useful information to the meeting attendees. When I scheduled the meeting, I thought that we would be at this point in our design. We are still studying design parameters for this section of DeArmoun Road, which will determine alignment, slopes and the 'footprint' of each of the alternatives we are looking at for this project. When we have this information, the public meeting will be rescheduled. At this time, we anticipate that the meeting will be held in early to mid January."
