(Kodiak) - Representative Dan Ogg (R-Kodiak) has been informed that applications for employment as a page in the Alaska House of Representatives to work the second session of the 23rd Alaska State Legislature are now being accepted. The session convenes on January 12th and runs through May 11, 2004 in Juneau. Typically the successful candidate would have to be in Juneau a few days before and then 3-5 days after the end of session, depending on the workload.
These are support positions, generally intended for those young Alaskans at least 18 years old. They offer great opportunities for entry into government service, the chance to see your legislative process in action, and provide good salaries and benefits for the duration of employment. All expenses such as travel, housing, and food are the responsibility of the employee. Every successful applicant must have a valid Alaska driver's license with a clean driving record.
