The House Special Committee on Fisheries will hold a confirmation hearing at 9:00 a.m. on May 3rd, 2006, for Bonnie Williams, who was appointed by the Governor to the Board of Fisheries. Ms. Williams is from Fairbanks and on her application under training and experience, she listed none relevant except fishing license. From 1988-1991 she served on the Fairbanks North Star Borough Assembly. Ms. Williams is the 2006 campaign manager for the re-election of Representative Jim Holm, who is also from Fairbanks. If confirmed, Ms. Williams will serve on the Board of Fisheries from 7/1/06 until 6/30/09. Public testimony will be taken and if you have comments you would like to submit to the House Fisheries Committee members, please email them to: Kimberly_Wallace '' @ '' legis.state.ak.us by 8 a.m. on May 3rd, 2006.

There is a joint session scheduled on Thursday, May 4th, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. to confirm the Governor's Appointees.
