Dear Friends and Neighbors,
We have successfully completed the first 30 days of the 23rd Alaska State Legislature, and we have much to look forward to in the coming 90 days. As the new Speaker of the House, my first priority is to prompt an honest and thorough dialogue with my colleagues in the Legislature that addresses our options for dealing with Alaska's challenges.
The Republican-led House Majority will work closely with the Minority, the Senate, and Governor Murkowski to improve life for all Alaskans. Areas for improvement include: closing the fiscal gap to balance the budget; providing quality education for our children; stabilizing the State's economy; and making Alaska a safer place to live, work, and play.
I look forward to your questions and comments concerning issues in our district and throughout the State. Please contact me with a phone call, a letter, an email, or by accessing the Majority's Web site at www.akrepublicans.org.
