"I'm traveling from Juneau to again hear the concerns of my constituents, which helps me do my job better as I represent them."
- Rep. Kohring
(Juneau) - Rep. Vic Kohring (R-Wasilla/Mat-Su) will chair his third legislative "town hall meeting" of the session, to again seek input from the public on issues and concerns as they pertain to the Legislature. The meeting, an open forum, will take place at the Wasilla Multi-Use Sports Complex conference room, on Friday, February 3, 2006, 5:00 to 7:00 pm. The address is 1001 South Mack Road in Wasilla.
"I'm traveling from Juneau to again hear the concerns of my constituents, which helps me do my job better as I represent them," said Kohring. "There are many critical issues our state is faced with, and the more I learn of the direction the public wants, the easier it is to find the right solutions."
Kohring is in his twelfth year of hosting town meetings in the Valley, and said it's his intent to continue them. "I always welcome public participation, and take seriously what people have to say," he said.
Kohring is chair of the Legislature's Oil & Gas Committee and is a member of the Transportation, Health, Education & Social Services, Administrative Regulatory Review and Rules Committees. He also serves on budget subcommittees for the Department’s of Administration, Transportation, Education and Natural Resources.
