(JUNEAU) - Representative Vic Kohring (R-Wasilla/Mat-Su) will be calling in to the Wasilla Chamber of Commerce's weekly meeting to provide an update on the legislative session. The meeting will take place on Tuesday, April 19th at 12:00 noon, at Lake Lucille Inn in Wasilla.

Representative Kohring said the purpose of his teleconferenced call to the Chamber is part of his ongoing effort to keep in touch with constituents. He also hosts regular "town meetings" in the Mat-Su throughout the four-month legislative session "to be as accessible to the public as possible." This session, he has had a total of four such meetings.

"Addressing members of the Wasilla Chamber is important, because the group represents the business community, which is so important to the area's economy," said Representative Kohring. "I want them to know how much I appreciate them, and am doing what I can to help encourage economic growth in the Valley."
