"I'm again returning to the Valley to listen to my constituents concerns, ideas and recommendations on how I can do my job better as I represent them."
- Rep. Kohring
(JUNEAU) - Representative Vic Kohring (R-Wasilla/Mat-Su) has announced he will chair his second legislative "town hall meeting" of the session to again seek input from the public on legislative issues and concerns. This next meeting, an open forum, will take place at the Wasilla Legislative Information Office, on Saturday, February 26, 2005, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. The address is 600 E. Railroad Avenue, next to L&B Color Printing in Wasilla.
"I'm again returning to the Valley to listen to my constituents concerns, ideas and recommendations on how I can do my job better as I represent them," said Kohring. "People need to have access to their local representatives and know their concerns are being listened to, and this forum provides that opportunity."
Kohring is chairman of the Legislature's Oil & Gas Committee and also serves on the Transportation, Health, Education & Social Services, Regulatory Review and Rules Committees. In addition, he serves on four budget subcommittees.
"I appreciate the public's participation in my past town meetings, and the interest and enthusiasm shown. These meetings are an effective way to communicate with people, and a great way to keep in touch and better understand my community's needs, he added."
Kohring said he welcomes all interested individuals to attend, and encourages their participation.
