"I was especially disappointed with KTUU-TV and the Anchorage Daily News for releasing unconfirmed and untrue statements ..."
- Rep. Kohring
(WASILLA) - Representative Vic Kohring (R-Wasilla/Mat-Su) is dispelling rumors that he had taken any part in a recent attempt by a group to form a new organization in the Alaska House.
In an effort to set the record straight, Representative Kohring stated that there is absolutely no truth to the published rumor that he had any knowledge or had participated in the attempt to re-organize the House for next session.
"To my surprise, my name appeared erroneously on a list of those who were attempting to form a new group," Representative Kohring said.
The idea that the conservative Wasilla legislator would organize with many liberal Democrats is "preposterous," said Representative Kohring.
"I was especially disappointed with KTUU-TV and the Anchorage Daily News for releasing unconfirmed and untrue statements that I was unofficially linked to the group trying to form a bipartisan coalition," said Representative Kohring.
"I have and will continue to support our leadership," Representative Kohring said. "I will always support the Republican principles."
