"After reviewing these complaints, we felt it critical to understand better this complicated situation in which Assisted Living Homes find themselves."
- Rep. Anderson
(JUNEAU) - The Administrative Regulation Review Committee (ARRC) will hold a hearing on Assisted Living Homes (ALH) regulations on Thursday, March 3, 2005 at 3:00 P.M. in Room 106 of the Capitol.
Chairman of the ARRC, Representative Tom Anderson (R-Anchroage) has called the meeting after hearing from a number of operators of ALH's throughout Alaska who are concerned that the recently adopted regulations will drive many ALH's out of business. "After reviewing these complaints, we felt it critical to understand better this complicated situation in which Assisted Living Homes find themselves," Anderson said. "Seniors are a respected component of Alaska's public, but these regulations may inadvertently eliminate some of their choices for quality assisted living." Anderson decided that his committee needed to address this issue directly.
