"Relating to establishing the Alaska Medal of Honor. "

The resolution directs (HCR 48) the Joint Armed Services Committee to design the medal and prepare legislation, to be introduced next session, to honor our fallen servicemen and women. The Joint Armed Services Committee is also to prepare and present guidelines for awarding the Alaska Medal of Honor under the resolves of this resolution. This honor is based on legislation adopted by the Hawaii State House last year.
