(Mat-Su) - Representative Carl Gatto (R-Palmer/Mat-Su) is Chairing a House Transportation Committee meeting concerning road construction issues in the Parks Highway corridor. Representative Gatto is seeking input from the public and has arranged for a meeting to take place with public officials at the Wasilla Legislative Information office this Friday, September 16th from noon to 1:00 pm. The office is located on 600 E. Railroad Avenue, near the Wasilla train depot.
"I want to hear from business owners and others with their recommendations to help streamline construction projects and allow businesses to continue operating as much as possible. This meeting will provide that opportunity and will be attended by officials from the Department of Transportation, as well as Representatives Bill Stoltze (R-Chugiak/Mat-Su) and Mark Neuman (R-Mat-Su) and Senator Charlie Huggins (R-Wasilla)."
Representative Gatto is Chair of the Legislature's House Transportation Committee, is vice-chair of the Education Committee, vice-chair of the State Affairs Committee, a member of the Resources Committee, and also serves on two budget subcommittees. He also is a member of the Legislative Council Committee that addresses all issues of the state when the Legislature is not in session.
Representative Gatto welcomes participants and would like to hear every side of the issue.
