(JUNEAU) - After reading about the Haines Volunteer Fire Department's campaign to raise funds for Carbon Monoxide (CO) detectors, Representative Carl Gatto (R-Palmer) donated $50 to the cause.
"I guess you could call this, putting my money where my legislation is," said Rep. Gatto. "It really is an important issue, particularly in Alaska. I am pleased that the Chilkat Valley News carried a story that lets people know just how dangerous CO is."

Rep. Gatto cosponsored and passed HB 351 in the 23rd Alaska Legislature requiring CO detectors in qualified dwellings.
