(Juneau) - The Alaska No Call list is now waiting to be heard on the floor of the Senate. HB 15, sponsored by Representative Hugh Fate (R-Fairbanks), moved out of the Senate Judiciary Committee with only minor changes dealing with magazine record, and book sales done via telephone.
The bill in its current form allows the Department of Law to enforce the existing federal language of the Do-Not-Call List. Alaskans registered on that national list are automatically registered on the state's version.
The bill now moves to the Senate Rules Committee for scheduling on the Senate Floor.
