"The gas pipeline project and a possible railroad link are two projects that can benefit both jurisdictions, so we need to get together and work together as much as possible."
- Sen. Dyson
(JUNEAU) - Senator Fred Dyson (R - Eagle River) will join several other Alaska legislators this week on a legislative exchange trip to the Canadian city of Whitehorse in the Yukon Territory.
"This is a great opportunity to meet with our neighbors and work with them on issues that impact both Canadians and Alaskans. The gas pipeline project and a possible railroad link are two projects that can benefit both jurisdictions, so we need to get together and work together as much as possible," said Sen. Dyson.
Sen. Donny Olson (D - Nome), Rep. Berta Gardner (D - Anchorage) and Rep. Mark Neumann (R - Big Lake) will join Sen. Dyson on the trip to Whitehorse.
For the past decade Alaska Legislators and members of Parliament from the Yukon Territory meet to talk about issues of mutual interest on an annual basis.
