(Anchorage) - The newly-created Task Force on School District Cost Factors will hold its first meeting in Anchorage, Monday, August 29th.

Established by House Resolution 10, sponsored by Representative Mike Chenault (R-Nikiski), House Finance Co-Chair, the Task Force on School District Cost Factors and foundation formula will evaluate proposals that are based on available facts and conclusions pertaining to school district cost differentials. The task force will deliver a written report with recommendations to be delivered to the House of Representatives and the Senate by January 20, 2006.

The first meeting will take place at the Anchorage Legislative Information Office, Room 220 on August 29, 2005 at 10:00 am.

Members of the task force include Representatives Mike Chenault, Mark Neuman (R-Mat-Su), Peggy Wilson (R-Wrangell), Reggie Joule (D-Kotzebue) and Senators Gary Wilken (R-Fairbanks), Lyda Green (R-Wasilla), and Con Bunde (R-Anchorage).
