"An Act relating to management of salmon and other fish stocks and salmon fisheries and to the use of funds received by an enhancement facility from the sale of fish."
House Bill 396 amends several statutes to strengthen biological management of wild fish stocks. In a time when farmed salmon is threatening natural wild fish stock in Alaska, it is important than ever to manage fisheries by biological means. HB 396 further defines "important and dominant salmon stocks." This bill was submitted by request and is worthy of our ardent consideration.
