Security Screeners for Anchorage International Airport
These screener jobs are well suited for stay-at-home parents, single parents, retired law enforcement, retired teachers and others just looking to supplement their income or looking for a career with the Federal government.
Compensation and Hours:
Pay rate ranges from $11.30 to $16.96 per hour plus 25% federal locality pay and benefits.
Part time, 20 to 32 hours per week positions available.
Minimum Requirements:
U.S. Citizenship or U.S. National
High school diploma, GED or equivalent, or one year of security or aviation screening experience
English proficiency
Pass a background/credit check
NO SECURITY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED; there is over 100 hours of fully paid training for the positions
A variety of duties related to providing security and protection of air travelers, airports and aircraft such as wanding, pat down searches, operation of x-ray machines, etc.
Responsible for identifying dangerous objects in baggage, cargo and/or on passengers; and preventing those objects from being transported onto aircraft.
As a Transportation Security Screener, you may perform passenger screening, baggage screening or both in a courteous and professional manner.
