If you are interested in the development of a natural gas pipeline, you might be interested in attending the following joint hearing being held by the Legislative Budget & Audit Committee and the Senate Resources Committee tomorrow and Wednesday.
This is the second of three two-day hearings on Alaska gas pipeline issues. The hearings have been set up to provide information to legislators in preparation for deliberations on any proposed Alaska Stranded Gas Development Act contract between the State of Alaska and applicants who may build the gas pipeline.
First Day:

Second Day:
Date: July 29, 2004 Time: 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Place: Anchorage LIO, 716 W. 4th Avenue, Anchorage Subject: Continued Discussion of Access Issues and State Revenue Issues of Gasline Expansion
The first two-day hearing brought many experts including current Stranded Gas Act applicants; state tax, royalty, and legal personnel; independent explorers; finance experts; and rate regulation experts who provided their perspectives on pipeline cost and tariff issues.
The third meeting will deal with the issues of price and revenue to the state and will occur on September 1st and 2nd.
