Dear Neighbors,

I need to make a correction to the Legislative Update I sent you yesterday. The paragraph regarding the tobacco tax included the sentence, "In addition, state tobacco cessation and prevention efforts will lose almost $40 million due to this phase-in."

The sentence should have read, "In addition, the General Fund will lose almost $40 million due to this phase-in. The cessation and prevention efforts will still receive the additional $4 million from the tax."

I apologize for any confusion.
