opportunity to be heard during the following two public comment opportunities.
Anchorage Traffic Engineering Department Seeks Input
Concerned with traffic congestion and access along Tudor Road between Lake Otis Parkway and Bragaw Street?
Concerned with non-neighborhood traffic on 42nd Avenue? What about pedestrian and non-motorized traffic on
Tudor Road and on 42nd Avenue? What transportation improvements are needed to provide access from Tudor Road
to the U-Med District?
The Municipality's Traffic Engineering Department will host a public meeting on Wednesday, February 18th at the Lake Otis Elementary School Multi-purpose Room to address these questions and to solicit public input on these issues. The resulting study will guide the transportation plans/decisions in the area.
The meeting will begin with an open house at 7:00 p.m. Staff will be available to discuss existing traffic issues and answer questions. At 7:30 p.m., staff will make a formal project presentation. Oral public comments will be accepted following the presentation.
If you would like to comment on traffic issues or the proposed project, you may 1) speak at the meeting, 2) complete the comment form at the meeting, or 3) send written comments to Tudor Road Corridor Project, c/o Traffic
Department, 4700 Bragaw Street, Anchorage, AK 99505 or fax them to 343-8488. Comments must be received by
5:00 p.m. on March 18, 2004 to become part of the project report.
Anchorage Police Department Seeks Public Feedback
The Anchorage Police Department is preparing a strategic plan to help guide the department in the future. The plan will be a result of feedback they receive from the public and other sources.
If you would like to comment on public safety issues related to the Anchorage Police Department, they ask that you contact them with the following information no later than February 20, 2004:
