(JUNEAU) - The Administrative Regulation Review Committee has scheduled a hearing to discuss changes to the Alaska Food Codes.
The hearing will focus on changes to the Alaska Food Codes proposed by Department of Environmental Conservation in January 2005, including an enhanced food safety program called Active Managerial Control (AMC) and will take place on Wednesday, April 20, 2005, from 1:00-3:00 P.M. in room 203 of the State Capitol.
The Committee will be taking comment from the industry and the public, as well as from the department promulgating the new regulations. While the official public comment period for the Department of Environmental Conservation regarding these regulations has passed, this hearing is for the purpose of informing the members of the legislature of all the concerns pertaining to the proposed Food Codes.
This hearing will be teleconferenced in the following locations: Anchorage, Fairbanks, Juneau, Mat-Su, Kodiak, Kenai, and Wrangell. If you would like to add a site not listed, please call your local Legislative Information Office.
