"Constituent feedback is essential to our effectiveness as legislators. Many constituents take advantage of email and public opinion messages. However, nothing replaces direct contact with constituents."
- Rep. Tom Anderson
(JUNEAU) - The Alaska State Legislature’s Anchorage Caucus will hold its next meeting this Saturday, connecting with constituents in Anchorage via teleconference from Juneau.
Chairman of the Caucus, Representative Tom Anderson (R-East Anchorage) noted, "We are eager to hear Anchorage residents’ legislative priorities and have the opportunity to speak with our constituents about our accomplishments thus far and our plans for the future. Technology allows us to remain in Juneau while still having the opportunity to interact with our constituents in Anchorage."
Caucus will be held on Saturday, March 19th from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. in the Anchorage Legislative Information Office on the corner of 4th Ave and H St.
"Constituent feedback is essential to our effectiveness as legislators. Many constituents take advantage of email and public opinion messages. However, nothing replaces direct contact with constituents. These hearings are great opportunities for this type of dialogue," Representative Anderson said.
The Anchorage Caucus is a non-partisan group made up of all State Senate and House members representing residents in the Anchorage Municipality.
